Established in 2007 by Dr. Behfar Sanjari, Chiro-Med Rehab Centre has been committed to providing quality health care services to the inhabitants of Richmond Hill and the surrounding areas.
Dr. Sanjari is a licensed Chiropractor and Registered Acupuncturist, through the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. He obtained a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) from the University of Western Ontario in 2001, certification in Acupuncture through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture in 2003, a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from National University of Health Sciences in 2003, his Doctor of Chiropractic in 2005 from National University of Health Sciences, a Diploma in Acupuncture from the Canadian College of Holistic Health in 2006, additional training and certification in Functional Capacity Evaluations with Metriks Education Inc. in 2007, Certification as an Independent Chiropractic Examiner in December 2010 from CMCC, Certified Provider of the Graston® Technique in 2013, Certified Neuro-Structural Taping Provider in 2013 and a Certified Complete Concussion Management™ practitioner as of November 2014 through the Complete Concussion Management™ network. Dr. Sanjari continues to attend workshops and seminars to keep abreast with health care industry developments, and is the Clinic Director of both Richmond Hill and Newmarket locations.
Dr. Kheiri received her Honours Degree in Sciences from York University in 2006 and subsequently obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2010. She is also an acupuncture provider having completed the certification in Clinical Acupuncture through the Continuing Education department at CMCC and ACO in 2009. She utilizes a variety of techniques including mobilizations, manual adjustments, muscle release techniques, spinal decompression therapy, shockwave therapy, electro-acupuncture & special interest in progressive rehabilitation programs. Her biggest motivator is the smiles of patients that no longer experience pain and are now able to a have better quality of life.
Marites obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the Philippines. In 2000 she passed the Philippine Physical Therapist’s Licensure Examination. In 2013 she successfully passed the Canadian Physiotherapy Competency Exam (written component) after which she joined Chiro-Med Rehab Centre. Marites has successfully completed the PCE clinical component. Marites has additionally completed a Soft Tissue Release course in March 2015, is Certified in K-Taping as of June 2015, completed McKenzie Method Part A for the lumbar spine in October 2015 and a Certified Complete Concussion Management™ practitioner as of November 2015 through the Complete Concussion Management™ network. Marites is also a member of the Society of Physiotherapists with Foreign Credentials. She attends continuing education courses quarterly to enhance her knowledge and skills in the physiotherapy field. She strongly believes in client-centered care and providing evidenced based practice.
Mohammad Boloori graduated with a bachelor and master’s degree, both in physiotherapy. In addition to his University education, Mohammad has completed various post-graduate courses to improve his clinical skills and to achieve successful outcome for his patients, Soft Tissue Release, Sport Medicine, and Therapeutic Taping are some of these courses. As of November 2015 Mohammad is also a Certified Complete Concussion Management™ practitioner through the Complete Concussion Management™ network.
He is registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Mohammad has many years of clinical experience in hospitals and clinics, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He has extensive experience in post-operative rehabilitation of various sport and orthopedic conditions.
His approach combines manual therapy techniques such as mobilization and Active Release Techniques (ART) with exercise prescription, taping, education and electrotherapeutic modalities to provide professional and high quality therapy to his clients. He speaks the following languages, English, Persian, Arabic, and Urdu. In his spare time Mohammad enjoys swimming and jogging.
I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York. I have worked in many unique settings ranging from outpatient care, sub-acute care and sports injuries. I have worked in many different cities across the United States and Canada. I have worked with a diverse population ranging from paediatrics to geriatrics and all ages in between. I have a strong vestibular rehabilitation background and a passion for orthopaedic rehabilitation. I enjoy learning and trying different ways to bring back functionality to an ailing body. I like to use a blend of conventional and unconventional methods to meet my patient’s goals to see them succeed. Some of my interests include athletic and preventative taping, exercise training and staying in shape to keep my patients in shape. I have training and credentials in Functional Abilities Evaluations which I perform weekly. Working as a Kinesiologist for several years I have a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology and human biomechanics. Rehabilitation contains both mental and physical attributes and my goals for all my patients are to educate, facilitate and participate!
Betty Sit is a graduate of the Wellspring College and received her qualifications as a Registered Massage Therapist of Ontario (CMTO) in 2013. She graduated with a diploma in massage and esthetics in 2000. Betty has experience in Swedish massage and advanced massage techniques (trigger points release, joint play, frictions, hot stone massage, etc.) By using a variety of techniques, she provides lymphatic drainage massage, pregnancy massage, stress relief. Betty is very enthusiastic, professional and accountable.
Yu Bi graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy Therapy with Honours, and is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO).
Yu Bi’s therapeutic experience is quite diversified having volunteered time providing massage therapy to patients at the Toronto Rehab Bickle Centre where she gained experience in treating different symptoms of musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions, brain related injuries, neuro-cognitive impairments and geriatrics, and at Fife House corporation where she gained experience with treating, and provide support service with patients living with HIV/AIDS. Yu Bi has also treated various athletes with an array of conditions including spastic muscles and sports related injuries during her volunteer experience events such as the Good Life Fitness Toronto Marathon, Scion City Chase, Toronto West Golf Tournament, Parkinsons Super Walk. She incorporates a combination of sport, Swedish, and non-Swedish massage techniques with hydrotherapy to help patient manage pain, help prevent injury, and maintain muscle and joint functionality.
Yu Bi enjoys tailoring her massages to the specific needs of patient using traditional Swedish techniques, myo-fascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy applications, manual lymphatic drainage, stretching and strengthening as well as incorporating breathing techniques to encourage her patients to release pain and holding patterns. Above all else, Yu Bi focuses her energy on educating patients in ways to relieve their daily stressors while continuing to focus on their treatment plans. She works and motivates each patient on homecare techniques to complete as well as promoting a lifestyle of balance and wellness. Yu Bi also has a lot of experience treating women through their pregnancies and post-natal care Yu Bi believes that Massage Therapy can enhance an individual’s overall sense of well being and improve their quality of life. Her experience has shown that massage can be a beneficial preventative measure against many problems such as stress-related conditions, tension and repetitive strain injuries.
Ice became a Registered Aromatherapy Health Practitioner (RAHP) from Toronto School of Natural Health in 2002. She graduated from Wellsprings College of Massage Therapy and Esthetics with a Diploma in Massage therapy in 2009 and a Diploma in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2011 from the Canadian College of Holistic Health. Upon her graduation, she became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac), and a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.Tcm) as an active member of The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) practicing in various clinics and rehabilitation centers. Ice is actively pursuing continued education; she has attended Traditional Thai Massage, Indie Head Massage and myofascial release courses. She is an advocate of combining acupressure (Tui Na) with Swedish Massage and Aromatherapy for helping people to reach their health goals, through therapeutic and relaxation practices.
Linda is an experienced Registered Massage Therapist, Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist, Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.
She obtained a Bachelor Degree of Clinic Medical Sciences outside of Canada. She has worked with clients providing successful results and with an excellent track record.
She has an in depth knowledge of the theory behind the massage strokes, accompanied by perfect practical dexterity.
As a Chinese Medicine Practitioner, she uses the 5 senses to collect diagnostic data for a comprehensive analysis in order to determine the characteristic and cause of the disease as well as some changes of the patient’s condition, with which acupuncture points and other type of treatment tools will be utilized. Treating a wide range of conditions from common cold to cancer. Not only does her protocols treat present conditions but also prevent the potential condition that may or will affect the individual‘s health.
Wei Jun Liu (vivian) graduated from Royal Institute of Science and Management in 2012. She is a licensed massage therapist and is a member of CMTO.
Vivian is experienced in providing a variety massage techniques, ranging from stress reduction massage, deep tissue / soft tissue massage, trigger point release, MVA’s and sport related injuries, as well as pregnancy massage. She believes that educating her clients about body awareness, self-care and home exercises will increase the effects / outcomes of Massage Therapy.
Susan Cain attended Wellsprings College in Richmond Hill where she graduated in 2006 with a diploma in Massage Therapy.
Susan’s training allows her to treat various conditions including sports injuries, T.M.J. sciatica, migraines, motor vehicle accidents and stroke patients. Susan has worked with all ages from children to the elderly.
Prior to becoming a massage therapist Susan was practicing Acupuncture and holds a Doctor of Acupuncture certification and a certification in Reiki as well as Reflexology.
Susan is a passionate and dedicated healthcare professional who focuses on her patients’ individual needs.
Mahshid Rasti as worked as an office administrative for over 10 years. Her role is to ensure efficient and timely operations of the office so as to support and enhance the work of the organization. She has excellent computer skills in word processing, database management,webpage posting and electronic communication software, spoken and written communication skills as well as ability to organize, manage multiple tasks and prioritize. Mahshid has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Diploma in Management Consulting.
Nazanin Maghsoudi is a graduate from York University with a Bachelor of Economics. Nazanin has been working at Chiro-Med Rehab Center since May 2011. Nazanin interacts well with patients and has an excellent attitude. She builds great relationships with all patients as she is one of the first person patients meet. She is responsible for in all customer related matters for the practice.
